This Straw House

Our straw house is located in scenic, southern Alberta. We enjoy views of the Porcupine Hills and the mountains of the Livingstone Range.

We started this project in October of 1998 and have spent many weekends and time away from our 'day jobs' to labour on it. Fortunately, we have had the assistance of many wonderful friends to whom we are very grateful.

We are currently finishing interior details and outdoor landscaping. Details seem to be an endless task. We do, from time to time, take a few moments to look at all that we have accomplished.

We have photos of the various stages of construction and we tried to select those that were significant and provided an overview of the process. If there is a particular area that is of interest, contact us and we can provide more information and photo-images.
